Sigrún María is a young singer/songwriter from the north of Iceland. She has always had a real passion for music, especially for creating her own. She has worked on a few projects over the past few years, for example, releasing one song by herself earlier this year on Spotify, as well as working with her band Cohortis to record and release new music (coming soon…. wink, wink). When asked how she would describe her music, you would most likely hear her say, “I don’t know, it is what it is.” She gets her inspiration from all over, from folk to punk to smooth synths. Her lyrics reflect life and all the difficulties that follow, reminding us we are not alone in our fights, no matter what they might be.
